Volunteering at The Crann Centre Conservation Facility

A group from Tandem had the pleasure of volunteering at The Crann Centre’s accessible conservation area near Kanturk Co. Cork on Friday 18th September.

The conservation team of Bren, Rickie, Margaret and Gerry were very welcoming, they explained the work they do, the value that it brings to children and adults with neuro-physical disabilities and their exciting plans for the future.

Being in a wheelchair, getting up close with nature isn’t easy. At the conservation centre people can experience native plants, animals, fish and birds that make their home on the site.

Thanks to Evelyn Power and Darran Coyle Garde for arranging the visit. For more information about the incredible work The Crann Centre do as well as information on Conservation at Crann, head to their website.
